We recently travelled to Ireland with some friends and we were blessed with fabulous fellowship, wonderful weather and exciting explorations!
Traditional Irish Breakfast (seemed amazingly similar to the Traditional English Breakfast, lol!)
Sarah shopping around at a market
Fresh Irish Strawberries dipped in Raw Jersey Cream!
Pucker Up and Kiss the Blarney Stone!
Look at those cute kiddos!
Rapeseed was in bloom and strikingly beautiful!
Sarah tried some black pudding...
... and it was edible but not her new favorite food!
We really enjoyed the Sunday morning worship service at the Christ Church Cathedral while in Dublin.
We had a fun time at Dublinia, an interactive museum of Ireland and Dublin!
There was even a bell tower to climb and have a nice view of Dublin!
We took a carriage ride!
And then we saw an Irish Dance show!
The following day we got to explore some neolithic sites called Knowth and Newgrange...
The weather was beautiful that day!
These sites are ancient burial chambers
Does this make anyone else think of Smurfs?! These mounds just made me (Sarah) think of Smurf Village!
Neolithic Artwork!
Our friend Stephanie looking gorgeous!
Matthias decided to take a nap during our tour of Newgrange!
Next up was Powerscourt Estate and the Sugarloaf Mountain!!! Seriously, sugarloaf... Awesome, I know, right!!!!
Waterford Crystal Grandfather Clock!!!
Matthias enjoyed watching the craftsmen at work making beautiful artwork!
Ireland has a rich history with many tales of Vikings conquests... Here Edmund poses as a Viking!
The Atlantic Ocean!
One day we diverted our driving route because we saw signs posted for a waterfall... well, we found a waterfall but we also got the opportunity to see a Shepherd at work!
Our friend Brian went exploring!
This Sheep dog was amazing! He was working hard to get these sheep where the Shepherd was guiding them!
They continued up the mountain
Going around the mulberry bush!
Ballymaloe Cookery School and Shop
We were able to purchase some fresh raw milk!!! Yum! And then we got to explore their farm and gardens!
Blarney Castle!!!
And then we got to kiss the Blarney Stone!
There are lots of cows in Ireland!
The Ring of Kerry
Matthias did not like it here!
It was very windy and we didn't have his hat at the time!
More Atlantic Ocean!
Ultra yumm-o Steak and Ale Pie!
Chewing on a bone!!!
A super yummy apple tart!
Matthias totally photo bombed this picture!
Bundled up on our boat ride
to see the friendly dolphin Fungi!
Fungi is a wild dolphin that seems to be extra friendly and gives tourists a great show!
We had a great trip to Ireland and we were so blessed to go with friends and as always see more of God's amazing creation! There are a lot of pictures here so if you made it to the end of this post you must really like us, lol! Love and miss you all!

These photos are just fantastic! Ireland looks like a really beautiful, if chilly, place. It is a blessing to see you all enjoying one another and the beautiful world God made for us. xoxoxoxoxxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI came to find these as we are considering a trip to Ireland, in April. I know it'll be cold and rainy most likely. Any tips? Hit me up by email if you think of anything that would be helpful. If we go, I hope to fly into Cork most likely, rent a car and drive to whatever we can fit in. Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry and/or Dingle Peninsula, maybe Cliffs of Moher. Anyhow, much love to you!
