August 2016

 August was a great month filled with fun adventures, important moments and 

reminders of God's love and promises!!! 

 Matthias is eating all sorts of new foods, he likes bananas very much and cheerios, peaches (of course he likes peaches... He was born in Georgia so that makes him a Georgia Peach himself!!!) & pretty much anything we give him (well, except Avocado which is sadness, but we keep giving it to him in hopes he will learn to like it.

 We had a beautiful double rainbow over our home, a wonderful reminder that God keeps His promises!

Matthias' 1st Birthday Party 

Matthias swiped the icing of the "grown up's" cake... 

He got some (and liked it! lol) 

and made a mess all over his Mama! 

He had a special cake made for him, a carrot cake sweetened with dates and coconut and had a cream cheese icing sweetened with Elderflower jelly.  

 Steak is one of Matthias' favorite things to eat!

Once again we are overwhelmed at the thought of how much we are loved and blessed by our family, friends and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! 

The name Matthias means "gift of God," and he has been exactly that, a gift, but more importantly he has been a reminder to us that the greatest gift the Lord gives is his abundant saving grace. As it says in Ephesians 2:8 "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this: it is a gift from God." (NLT)
