The Most Wonderful Time of Year!
Merry Christmas 2016!
We were so very blessed this Christmas with many gifts and time together as a family!

A Wee Happy New Year!
Northern Ireland was where we spent our New Year weekend! It was a crazy weekend for sure and one that will not soon be forgotten!
First on the agenda was a scenic coastal drive and we ended up here at Carrick-A-Rede
It was a lot of walking and going over an old rope bridge that fishermen used to use... the bridge is now supported with beams!
You can't tell from the photos but Sarah was sick with the flu this day and we ended up calling it a day pretty early. Then we got a stomach bug later that night :-/ and then the next day....
We went to Giant's Causeway, which is a natural wonder where volcanic basalt formed in hexagonal shapes! But several times during our visit little Matthias fell down and we think that during one of these falls he broke his wrist! So later that day (New Year's Eve) we went to the emergency room and got out just in enough time to get to our room, turn the TV on and watch the BBC New Year fireworks!
A Wee Happy New Year!
We were a given a "wee apple pie" when we went to McDonalds for a snack and in general the N. Irish used the word "wee" to refer to anything! It was really cute!

Our last day in N. Ireland included a stop at Castle Ward! That's right our own castle!
The last event of our trip was a stop at the Titanic Museum! It was really amazing to see how it was built and the story behind the Titanic!
