Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
(and camping at Curicanti National Recreation Area)
Warning - Lots of pictures, sorry for not editing more!

 Exploring the South Rim

Cooling down with a dip in the water
 (which was very cold!)

Taking a guided ranger walk

 Matthias was tired!!!!

There are several forest fires in surrounding states that are making Colorado very hazy!

On the way back to our campsite we came
across some cattle in the road!

Tired Matthias!

 Exploring the North Rim

Don't worry Sarah had a tight grip!!!

 Ready for our hike!

Exclamation Point!

At the top of Green Mountain
Now it's a 3.5 mile hike back down!

Matthias enjoyed getting down and dirty while camping!

On the way home we drove over the continental divide!!!
This probably gets old but here it is again -
Another adventure for the Ward family that affirms our belief in a Creator! The beauty of this world is astounding but more than that it speaks of a designer who has placed us here to enjoy His creation and then glorify Him for His awesome power, creativity, design and purpose for us all! "To God be the glory, great things He has done!"
