We've been trying to get out and explore the area for Christmas fun and we were pleasantly surprised by the Denver German Christkindl Market and Parade of Lights!
The German Market was quite a good feel from our experiences of Christkindl Markets in Germany!
It was very busy!
But it felt very authentic... though we didn't try any food! It just seemed like it was not going to be as good and way too expensive!
We were also sad that they didn't have any kinderpunsch (non-alcoholic gluhwein) but we did purchase a souvenir mug as it looks very similar to our souvenir mug from last Christmas in Memmingen, Germany!
Afterward, we attended the
Parade of Lights which was quite a fun parade!
It took a while for the actual parade to make it to us as we were about a mile into the parade route so we played around a bit!
A few favorites were:
The Air Force Academy Band!!!
Matthias was a bit hard to please that night....
Not even sure what these cars are called but we had a lot of fun watching them go by!
Finally, a smile (all though a bit blurry) from Matthias!
And he finally waved, too!
Another smile!
And of course, the parade ended with Father Christmas!
We had a long night but it was surely a Christmas evening that won't soon be forgotten!
Fun! I don't remember hearing about this, but I love the photos!
