YMCA of the Rockies

Over President's Day Weekend
we were able to get away to the
Rocky Mountains
for a time of fun and exploration!

On our first day we went into the
Rocky Mountain National Park
and did some short walks to Bear Lake and Nymph Lake!

 The snow was pretty deep!

Throughout the weekend it was VERY WINDY with gusts up to 75 MPH, the haze in the above photo is snow being blown around by the wind!
Matthias is enjoying his new wagon!
And it gives Dad and extra workout!
Until it became too difficult to keep pulling... so we parked it on the side of the trail and picked it up on our way back!

Matthias had fun in the snow...

...and fun eating it, of course!

Standing on the frozen Nymph Lake!

We got to stay at the YMCA of the Rockies!
On the grounds they have lots of fun opportunities to have fun with your family. We got to roller skate, go swimming, play at the play ground, participate in group activities and just enjoy the great outdoors.
Despite the cold and wind we had a lovely time and look forward to many more times of exploration in the mountains of Colorado!

Psalm 121:1-2

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth."
