Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice =D

Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice!

Hello friends! Sorry for the absence of new posts as of late! At the beginning of March we had our friends Stephanie, her little one, Lydia, and another friend Kristi, come for a visit. We were able to go around and explore while they were here and I (Sarah) am finally getting around to sharing our fun times with you all!

The home of Oliver Cromwell was a short, yet educational stop in Ely.

 1000 year old Ely Cathedral

After a great tour of Ely Cathedral we needed some refreshment... So we had an afternoon tea, filled with sugar and spice and everything nice!

Another great adventure that we ladies went on was to Hampton Court Palace, the estate of King Henry VIII! There is a hedge maze that we made it to the center and found a neat arch way to take our photo underneath!

The weather was still quite chilly but it is wonderfully sunny =D

Somehow we neglected a good wholesome English breakfast while our friends were here but I did catch this poster in a photo, and just looking at it can fill your tummy up!

We went to Cambridge and took a walking tour of the city and colleges, we were even able to go into the famous King's College Chapel and attend an Evensong service!

 Punting on the Rive Cam

 Macaroons!!!!

Edmund had a birthday in early March!

Stephanie enjoyed some raw milk from the local organic farm that we are able to purchase delicious and nutritious raw milk from!

Wrest Park
We were blessed with another sunny day to explore the beauty and charms of an English estate!

I finally captured a Pheasant in a photo! We saw some pheasants wandering around the gardens at Wrest Park, we see and hear them squawking about our home quite often!

London Calling!
We made it down to London for a day of museums and exploring!

Victoria and Albert Museum!
Filled with an eclectic collection of items old and new, from far and wide, we thoroughly enjoyed wandering through its fun filled rooms and a great lunch in the museum cafe!

Afterwards, we were walking down to Harrods Dept. Store and I caught a glimpse of this car that was quite sparkly!

Lavenham
An old Tudor village with leaning homes, cute shops and delightful tea rooms!

Stratford on Avon,
the birthplace and home of William Shakespeare

Blakeney Point and Seal Watching!!!

Just another few weeks of adventure here in the UK, I hope you all enjoyed seeing our wanderings through a few photos. There really was a sweetness of being with friends, continuing to explore God's world and being blessed with beautiful, sunny, spring weather!
