Wales

 "We're Back!"

That's right folks! The Ward family is back in action! Since July our little family has had many changes: from Edmund and Sarah being in England and just being cute, still fairly newly-weds, to Edmund deploying and Sarah going to the states preparing for a big change - Welcoming Baby Ward #1! Well, as you know Matthias officially joined our family on August 22 and we have been enjoying his joyful giggles (as well as his occasional fussiness and early mornings and late nights!) since that day. Sarah and Matthias had many adventures while Edmund was deployed, too many to recount, but we had the opportunity to see many friends and much of our family along the way and we were so grateful for their support while Edmund was away.

Pictures from the weekend Edmund returned from his deployment and before we returned to the UK!

All three of us are now back home here in the UK and so glad to be back together as a family!

Edmund was given some time off of work after his return from his deployment and we enjoyed a trip to Wales during that time. Here are some snapshots! We hope you enjoy looking at them!

Matthias all bundled up and ready to explore!

Edmund is a great Dad, he loves to carry Matthias around show him this beautiful world that God has created!

South Stack Lighthouse
Holyhead Island, Anglesey, Wales

There were a lot of steps to get down to the lighthouse, and unfortunately during this time of the year there were not any tours of the lighthouse! So our exploration included us going down and then coming right back up!

So we're still working on the art of the three person selfie, plus poor lil' Matthias was so bundled up that you can hardly see his face!

After exploring outside we got to go inside the visitor center and enjoy a warm lunch!

Then we went to explore an ancient burial chamber!
It was really wet and pretty chilly too!

The next day we went to explore the town of Conwy and Conwy Castle

A little rain and cold never stopped the Welsh school children from a field trip!

"Welsh brains outwit English Brawn," that gave us a good chuckle!

So hopefully Matthias won't be too upset with us putting his Mama's scarf around his face to keep him cozy warm!

Adult mittens work as baby shoes, right!?!

The smallest house in Great Britain!

Happy "Chinese" New Year!
We got a great deal on some yummy Chinese food to celebrate the Chinese New Year!

 Hiking Mt. Snowdon!

At the beginning of the trail!

 Ready to go!!!!

 Getting closer!

Matthias was sleeping "like a baby!"

Edmund looking longingly upwards to the summit... Sarah was too anxious to finish the trail all the way up to the summit!!!!

It was a great day of exploring the beauty of Snowdonia!

The next day we explored the Welsh Slate Museum!

And got to take a nice walk out Aber Falls!

Tea at the "Ugly House"

Matthias was wearing a bowtie!

Trying to keep Matthias warm and cozy is hard to do, particularly in a fashionable way!

 Random Rooster.... LOL

We had a great trip and once again were blessed to have the opportunity to go and explore and enjoy this beautiful world that the Lord made!
