Late Sept-Early Oct 2016
Day 1: Arrival
Rick, Jody, Reuben, Josie and Gabe arrive from the states! (Sadly, Jethro was unable to join in on the travels!)
Our first stop was at the village of Bishop's Stortford where Edmund's family can trace their lineage!
We enjoyed a beautiful day by exploring the local area!
Day 2:
LONDON
Riding the Tube
The British Museum
The Disney Store was a lot of fun! (I mean no trip to London is complete without a trip to the Disney Store, right!?! It was Sarah's idea... and she was really glad that we went!)
Buckingham Palace
Enjoying a rest near Westminster Abbey on yet another sunny beautiful English day!
Day 3:
Battle Abbey - Experiencing where the Battle of Hastings took place 950 years ago in 1066!

Day 4: Pumpkin Patch and Cambridge
Pumpkins everywhere
Fresh British Donuts! So yummy!
Punting on the river Cam in Cambridge!
Cambridge's Bridge of Sighs
Day 5: Dover Castle and the White Cliffs
If you look close enough you
might be able to see France on the horizon!
The Royal Family!
The White Cliffs of Dover!
Day 6: Dover... again... So someone, I'll just say S Ward; no, no, Sarah W, may have forgotten to pack some passports for our planned trip to Brugge, Belgium. So Plan B was enacted and we tried to make the most of it by having more fun at Dover Castle and then going into Canterbury to visit St. Augustine's Abbey
Matthias must be pretty cool... it seems everyone wants to have their photo taken with him! lol!
St. Augustine's Abbey in Canterbury
The outside gate to Canterbury Cathedral
(Canterbury is a UNESCO World Heritage City)
Day 7: Bath
Bath Abbey
The Roman Baths
Matthias loves to explore!
Trying the natural spring water...
well...
it's not...
bad...
or too yummy either!
Matthias likes his applesauce better!
Day 8: More Bath (walking tour) & Stonehenge
We enjoyed a walking tour of Bath which is a UNESCO World Heritage City - And we had more beautiful weather!
After finishing up in Bath we went out to Stonehenge
(A UNESCO World Heritage Site)
It was a bit windy out on the plains but so sunny and wonderful!
Matthias loves his Aunt Josie!
Being silly!
One last English afternoon tea!
Day 9: Departure
(unpictured... we were all too sad to smile for the camera!)
It was a lovely visit and so pleasant to explore this beautiful country with our family!
