Merry Christmas from Germany!
The weekend after Thanksgiving we had the opportunity to travel to Memmingen, Germany. We met our friends there for some fun and fellowship! We had such a great time with lots of yummy treats and new things!
New food like crunchy sauerkraut, the sauerkraut was wrapped up in a really thin pastry and absolutely delicious!
Matthias was all tuckered out from traveling!
Basically fried apple slices with ice cream = party in the mouth!
The name of the restaurant was Weber am Bach, the building it was in was the oldest in the city!
The architecture was very Bavarian and the city was overall charming!
The even decorated the lid for the sewer with their beautiful crest!
A cannon stuck in the wall since 1647!

Another trip that reminded us of the blessings from the Lord - a few of them were love, beauty, sweet friendship, and delicious and nutritious food. But most of all it was a blessing to see Christmas celebrated by another culture, there was a Nativity scene set up and lights illuminated the city reminding us that Jesus is the light of not just our little corner of this world but Jesus is the light of the whole world! Praise God we no longer have to live in darkness for Jesus gives us light!
