Lake District Camping Trip

Lake District Camping Trip!
Recently we were able to take a trip to the Lake District of England. It is about 5 hours northwest of our home and was a bit of a drive but we made it and had a nice time camping at the Great Langdale National Trust Campsite.
At Wray castle Matthias got to explore the Peter Rabbit Adventure Play Area!

He even got to kayaking!!!

We also had the opportunity to go the home of Beatrix Potter!

Another example of narrow 2-way carriageways!

It was a wet weekend for camping....
But we made it work...
We just spent a lot of time in our tent!!!
And stayed quite bundled up!

Matthias was able to wear this fun Peter Rabbit bunting suit that was worn by his Uncle Michael when he was a young lad, and in the area of England that Beatrix Potter envisioned the furry creature and stories!

Thankfully, the weather cleared up enough for us to go hiking!!!!

Edmund found the spongy moss interesting...

We also had the chance to see the Aira Force (Force is the Lake District word for waterfall :-)

One of the Lakes in the background... I don't remember which one though!!!

On our way home we had a slight issue with a traffic jam...
With SHEEP!!!

Thankfully, it didn't last too long and then we were on our merry way again!
The Lake District was yet another beautiful part of England that we were so very privileged to explore and enjoy! To God be the Glory!
